Welcome to PharmPak's DSCSA Operations Website
This is the introductory website page for the PharmPak DSCSA Operations Server.
This PharmPakOps.com server, which runs at a secure data center in Los
Angeles USA, is used:
- By PharmPak technicians to use barcode scanning and automated barcode label printing to capture data related to receiving, repackaging, labeling, packing and shipping
events for PharmPak's ready to dispense products
This is done using the BellHawk software (www.BellHawk.com).
- To capture DSCSA (Drug Supply Chain Security Act) event history data
in an Event Repository Database (ERD), where it can be accessed through
the Epedigree.PharmPakOps.com URL link. The ERD is also used to
exchange EPCIS ( Electronic Product Code Information Services) data with PharmPak's upstream
and downstream supply-chain trading partners. This is done using the
MilramX software (www.MilramX.com).
- To enable FDA, CDC, and State Health Authority inspectors, in the
event of a recall, to electronically trace back from suspected defected
or counterfeit products to the bulk origin pharmaceuticals that
went into these products. Also to enable these inspectors to trace
forward from suspected defective or counterfeit origin materials to the
products made from these and who they were shipped to.
Clicking on the Epedigree.PharmPakOps.com
URL link will bring you to a website where you can scan or enter either:
- A 2D EPC barcode from a container of pharmaceuticals shipped from
PharmPak. This is used to identify a single shipped lot number for which
pedigree (originator, distributor, receiving and shipping information, along
with product information) is shown on this website page. The user is warned
if the scanned 2D barcode belongs to a container or lot of pharmaceuticals
that may be defective or counterfeit. There is no response if the 2D barcode
is not recognized.
- A serialized shipping container code (SSCC) barcode on the shipping
container containing pharmaceuticals shipped from PharmPak. This will show a
list of the lot numbers inside the shipping container and then enable
selection of a lot number to see its pedigree information.
- A GLN or SGLN code for the recipient location for the shipment. This
will show a list of recent shipments to this location from which lot
number can be chosen and the available pedigree information shown.
The Epedigree web-page also enables pedigree data to be downloaded in the
form of PDF exports and Excel spreadsheets, for archival and analysis purposes.
Please note that Epedigree and EPCIS file data is only available for data
captured by PharmPak technicians after shipments are made. Prior to that time
materials traceability data is captured in BellHawk but is not available through
the ERD.
Also, please note that, currently, the Epedigree website pages only display
the event data captured by PharmPak technicians. Once a reliable stream of EPCIS
data is being received from upstream supply chain partners it is planned to add
their data to the ERD and make it available through the Epedigree web page. As a
result, currently, the data being displayed may be incomplete, especially if
GLN/SGLN data has not been provided to PharmPak.
